The Academy, Preschool - 12th grade, is licensed by the Ohio Department of Education and we are only the 2nd private, independent school in the Dayton area. It is a multi-level program that believes in a curriculum that supports the child's growth and development according to the child's own unique needs and capacities. The teachers act as facilitators and guide the learning of their students. Our classrooms feature motivating activities, with attention to learning styles, multiple intelligence, and interests, as well as abilities. Individual differences are met through small groupings that are short term and flexible. When children are motivated, they will do their very best and be proud of their efforts. In this environment, children are more willing to work, thereby raising their level of achievement.
The Academy is situated on a 5 acre campus, a half mile north of downtown Springboro off of St Rt 741 which is conveniently located between Dayton and Northern Cincinnati. The campus features 2 buildings for classrooms and a facility, Impact Point, focused on the arts & fitness. The lovely grounds consist of gardens which include butterfly, imagination, edible and Ohio wildlife prairie as well as 2 soccer fields, basketball court, 2 playgrounds, a fossil pit, and an outdoor classroom.
Minds In Motion Early Learning School was founded in 2002 and The Academy at Minds In Motion, K–8th grade was founded in 2005 by Gina Pangalangan. In 2016, the school added a high school and was renamed to The Academy. She had a vision to build a school that was based on the best teaching practices and the latest brain research on education. The school's philosophy focuses on small class sizes, individualized and differentiated instruction and hands on, challenging experiences.
It celebrates the individualism and uniqueness of each child as they are challenged to use and develop their innate critical thinking skills to their full potential. It is a place where students reach, stretch, grow and learn. Every child is given the tools and resources in a stimulating and engaging environment to become a successful student.
The mission of the school is to give every child his deserved chance to learn, in whatever way he needs to learn, because every child is unique and every child matters. With this mission, the school is a change agent in the trajectory of the lives of hundreds of students as well as many families and is preparing them for their role in the 21st century.
True learning is a student driven process. Thus, Academy teachers are the facilitator that guides the learning of their students. Our teachers love what they do and believe that every child matters. Each one goes the extra mile to individualize and ensure that they are challenged.

It challenged me to further my education in Early Childhood Development and thus, I obtained my Child Development Associate Credentials awarded by The Council of Professional Development in 2006.
